This course allows the participant to take as much or as little as necessary from it. The structure means that if you're a beginner or an experienced speaker, the opportunity is there to develop and hone those skills in a mutually supportive environment. Having been funded for courses at work, this course represents superb value for money and allows you to work at your own pace whilst learning and having fun. Highly recommended.

I joined Solent speakers in order to improve my public speaking and presentation skills and have found the programme highly relevant and very effective. The quality of the course materials and feedback was superb and the support has been invaluable.

I would recommend this course. Whether you are brand new to public speaking and extremely nervous or just want to improve your skills this programme has something to offer. It provides a structured proramme of assignments designed to develop both your confidence and your ability to speak in public. You can progress through the assignements at your own pace and you will. if you wish be assigned a mentor to help support you through the learning process. Listening to other speakers was also surprisingly entertaining and motivational.
Solent speakers are clearly a high achieving club with a freindly and supportive membership and an excellent training and mentoring programme. The initial welcome was warm and friendly and they quickly established my outcomes. TMy mentor explained the programme and took me through me with the level 1 (Competent Communicator) programme. After each assignment I was given high quality feedback that showed me what I was doing well and also what I needed to do to improve further. The approach was gentle, supportive and effective.← | →
