The SPA has been developed to meet this need. The SPA utilises the experience it has gained to effectively spread the passport scheme into other industrial sectors.

Passport to Safety Course

What is the Legal Requirement?

Milne Marketing Ltd has been approved to run the Safety Passport Alliance scheme. The purpose of the SPA scheme is to design and implement Safety Passport Training Schemes and to effect their delivery through a National Network of accredited training providers. Working together with industry, the SPA is committed to providing a Nationally recognised standard of Health and Safety Training Assurance.

Course Content

Course Content Day 1

The Core Day covers:

  • Introduction to Health and Safety, Environmental, Safe Systems of Work, etc
  • Workplace safety, access, egress, emergencies, vehicles, equipment, machinery
  • Fire precautions and procedures
  • Accidents - prevention and reporting, First Aid
  • Hazardous substances - COSHH
  • Manual handling
  • Noise at work

Course Content Day 2

  • Hazards on a petrol filling station
  • Controlling work on a forecourt
  • Safe working practices
  • Case Study
  • Assessment papers and test
  • Participants will compare a variety of tests and questionnaires

Course Aims

At the heart of the Safety Passport Scheme is "The Core Day" which provides training in seven key areas, to a level which everyone will understand. A delegates understanding is assessed by multiple choice questions and achievement is rewarded by the issue of a credit card sized "Safety Passport".

Course Duration: Two Days
