Appreciate the key points of Health and safety law and the relevant regulations. Understand the need for safe use of plant and machinery. Recognize 'at risk' behavior. State the difference between 'hazard' and 'risk'. Suitable for: All Contractors operating within the quarrying industry are now expected to hold a Safety Passport.

About this course
This programme will be delivered over 2 day for a maximum of 12 delegates with the first day being a “Core” day, and the second day dealing with Quarry specific safety issues. The course is available as a reserved course on the customer’s site, or at one of the MTR Training Sites

The SPA Quarry products, mineral processing and extractive industries' Passport Scheme has been written by the industry for the industry sector.
The training is the product of a unique collaboration between EPIC and SPA. All Contractors operating within the quarrying industry are now expected to hold a Safety Passport.
The industry jointly signed with the Health and Safety Commission (HSC: now joined with HSE) a pledge to halve the number of accidents in the industry.
