Course programme
A2 is a continuation of AS where you will study the language in depth and further develop your skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing
Entry RequirementsSuccessful completion of the first year of an A Level programme in Spanish (AS).
Course Content
You will study aspects of modern life in Spain. In addition you will be encouraged to gain confidence in communicating in Spanish through both the spoken and the written word. You will be able to work on topics of your own choice both in class and at home.
There will be a number of planned social events designed to enrich the learner's experience throughout the course including visits to the cinema, restaurants, markets, cultural events etc.
There will be an organised visit to Spain that will be open to all part-time learner's of Spanish in 2009-10.
The approximate cost will be 200 (flight and accommodation for 4 nights).
How will I be assessed?
A2 Unit 3:Oral Discussion of Issues.
A2 Unit 4:·Translation
·Creative and Disclosure Writing
·Research Topic
What can I do next?
Progression from A2 would normally be to a degree course or a professional qualification such as those offered by the Institute of Linguists.
