This programme allows participants to dance Flamenco or Tango in Granada, one of the most fascinating cities in the world. We offer you the chance to experience the practical skills of Flamenco or Tango whilst learning the Spanish language. We provide the opportunity to complement your Spanish Course with dance classes in collaboration with recognized and qualified dance teachers. There are classes at all levels, starting with beginners to more advanced levels.

About this course

All foreign learners of Spanish that would like to learn/improve some dance skills along with their Spanish.

Age: 14 years minimum
Levels: A1/A2/B1/B2/C1/C2

Certificate of attendance (included in the course price). After completing a Spanish course at our school students can take a test to obtain the official SIELE certificate (155 €).

ENROLMENT
-Students can enrol directly through the school website
-After we have received your booking, we will send you confirmation of your reservation by e-mail, including the total amount of course and accommodation fees to be paid.
-At the same time, we will ask you for a deposit of 120 € which will be deducted from the full amount. If the advance payment is not received within the prescribed period, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation.
-We will reserve your Spanish course and accommodation on receipt of the deposit. You will receive the course confirmation, a written level test, plus information about your Spanish course and accommodation, useful details about your journey and a map of Granada, by e-mail.
-The remainder of the course and accommodation fees must be paid before the Spanish course starts.

SPANISH COURSE
Classes: 20 lessons of 45 minutes per week from Monday to Friday.
Group size: max. 10 students.
Levels: A1/A2/B1/B2/C1/C2.
Starting dates 2024: every Monday.
Timetable: from 09.00 to 12.15 h

DANCING WORKSHOP
Tango/Flamenco lessons: in addition to the Spanish course, 2 dance workshops of 90 minutes per week.
Group size: from 1 to 2 students.
Levels: all dance levels.
Starting dates 2024: every Monday.
Timetable: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 20.30 to 22.00 hrs.

Additional information

A Spanish course in Spain: learning a new foreign language also means learning about a different culture and way of life. We organize cultural programme every week, some examples are as follows: Conferences concerning present-day topics of interest or Moorish culture / Film sessions dedicated to particular Spanish directors / Visits to the Arabic bath Aljibe de San Miguel / Theatre shows and flamenco concerts / Guided tours to the Alhambra or the old Moorish quarter of the Albaicín / Trips to villages in the surrounding area, or to the beach / Trekking and horse-riding in the Sierra Nevada / Tapa Tours / Guided visit to St. Joseph's cemetery / Cultural activities related to Federico García Lorca.

Guided day trips 
On the weekends we offer full-day excursions throughout Andalusia. Day trips to Ronda, Seville, Cordoba, the Costa Tropical or the Alpujarra mountains are offered. 

Guided day hikes 
If you want to go hiking, you can take part in the guided hikes of the provider Sierra & Sol. Under the direction of Teresa Madrona Moreno, day trips are offered on the weekends in the Sierra Nevada national park or in the natural parks of our province.
