What will I learn?
This is the worlds fourth most widely-spoken language (after Chinese, Hindi and English) and has the advantage of opening up the language and literature of most of Latin America as well as Spain. With Spain continuing to modernise and play a greater role in Europe, the opportunities to use Spanish in your work will undoubtedly increase. Don't forget that Spanish is becoming an increasingly important language in the USA as well.
What qualifications do I need?
We would normally require candidates to have the standard sixth form entry requirements, including GCSE Spanish at grade A or B.
Career opportunities:
Language can take you anywhere you want to go! You could go onto a job that specifically uses languages such as an interpreter, translator, teacher or diplomat. However, you will also find that most employers strongly value a language especially where you may be required to travel or deal with overseas clients/companies.
