Introduction:
This course will help you build upon a reasonable basic knowledge of Spanish and extend your competence and fluency in speaking this language. For example, from simply being able to give your name, address, age, likes and dislikes (at a basic level) you will be encouraged to describe your family in detail, talk extensively about your daily routine, personality, ambitions and achievements. Other topics, such as shopping, would embrace a fuller range of shops and foods, and possibly look at returning goods or complaining about them.

Study Mode & Location:
This 20 week part-time day course will last for 2 hours per week. It will be held at Bamber Bridge Learning Centre, 60 School Lane, Bamber Bridge, Preston, PR5 6QE.

Course Content:
This cousre provides you with the chance to develop your Spanish to a level that enables you to:

• read journals and information leaflets effectively.
• understand what is said to you in a number of common situations.
• converse freely in the language.

A term-long revision and consolidation of Spanish will be followed by deeper study of the language and an expansion of topics. There will be opportunities to read authentic Spanish language materials, listen to Spanish spoken by native speakers and converse in class.

Assessment:
There is no formal examination for this subject, so a variety of assessment methods will be used.

Careers & Progression Opportunities:
This course can lead to other ACE courses or to OCNW (Open College of the North West) START or A unit courses.

We accept SOLO and major credit cards (eg Access, Visa, Switch, Delta) EXCEPT American Express. Many courses have limited places so please enquire as soon as possible.
