Course programme
If you're already working in a neonatal care environment, here's your opportunity to enhance your knowledge, skills, and ability to deliver care to newborn children and their families.
Neonatal care practice are continually developing in response to nursing, medical and technological advances. Our course will keep you up to date with the latest techniques.
We place a strong emphasis on the link between theory and practice, so that you can expand your knowledge of neonatal care while also strengthening your practical skills. Through two in-depth modules, you'll look at the essential skills needed to work in this area, and explore broader issues that could have an impact on neonatal care, both now and in the future.
You’ll have the chance to share your own experiences, and learn from your fellow students in turn. We'll encourage you to get used to working together to talk about, plan and provide care.
When you graduate, you’ll be able to plan, implement and evaluate care given to babies and their families. You’ll feel confident about providing and maintaining a safe environment for newborn patients, and encouraging parents to get actively involved in caring for their child.
