Special Needs Level 3, This (SEN) special needs course is designed for people who work with children and young people in teaching, learning support or child care and who wish to understand the provision of additional support for people with special needs. The course is written to enable learners to be able to complete from home. Placement work is not required on this course,

About this course
A knowledge of the nature and range of special needs, and requirement for additional support
Familiarity with the legal and regulatory framework, and codes of good practice which cover special needs provision
An understanding of provision of additional support for children and young people
Methods of working with children and young people who have speech, language and communication needs
Methods of working with children and young people who experience social, emotional and behavioural difficulties
Aimed at those students with prior knowledge/experience of working in the classroom setting.
All applicants must be placed in a school setting for a minimum of 1 day per week for the duration of the course.
This course provides successful students with a certificate of achievement from TQUK. Although this course does not carry a recognised qualification, the course has been officially endorsed and undergoes the same strict quality control procedures as a fully recognised qualification.
TQUK is recognised as an awarding organisation by the qualification regulators for England, Wales and Northern Ireland, who are: the office of the qualifications and examinations regulator (OFQUAL) in England, the Welsh Government and the council for curriculum, examinations and assessment (CCA) in Northern Ireland.
This course is recognised by OFSTED, The only qualification to qualify students to work within the SEN role.

Learners will be required to complete a series of tutor marked assignments ( normally 1 after each unit) as they progress through this course. Each assignment will contain a variety of tasks/questions. These assignments are assessed by your tutor to monitor progress. You will be provided with constructive feedback to help you in completing each unit to the required standard.
