This training scheme is designed to be delivered in a modularised mannor by a combination of formal instruction off-job, followed by on-site training with an employer, where the final end assessment of the skills and knowledge gained will be carried out. Suitable for: The preferred minimum age for the new entrants is 18 years however, the training programme will allow for 16 year olds to attend the course.

The Specialist Apprenticeship Programme, is a 2-year apprenticeship scheme that leads to a NVQ L2 in Metal roofing (lead) and automatically gaining the City & Guilds 6055 Leadwork Certificate. On successful completion of the Health & Safety test the apprentice can then apply for the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) recognition. The course content is designed to ensure that the candidates are able to understand the hazards and safe working practices within this specialised industry.
