If you are looking to build a career in sport, the BTEC Level 1 Diploma in Sport and Active Leisure provides an ideal introduction to the sports sector. It will familiarise you with the potential occupational areas which include careers in exercise and fitness, coaching, sports development and the outdoor environment. It is also a stepping stone onto the Level 2 Diploma.

This is a one year course covering 11 units. It is predominantly theory-based with some practical sessions on the timetable.

About this course

4 GCSE's at grade E including English and Maths or a Pass in a relevent Entry Level qualification. In addition to your qualifications, you will need to supply a reference from your previous school, college or employer, as well as undertaking a Skillsbuilder and free writing assessment, following the successful completion of an interview.
