Cultural Football in Finland

Every year the college football pathway, embark on a cultural footballing visit to Kotka, Finland. This is the opportunity for all of the students to put into practice all of their footballing skills and knowledge. As a group we all participate in annual soccer schools which are delivered by Craven College Students. Young Finnish players travel from across their local community to be coached by our College students. 2013’s Trip saw a record 170 young players arrive on our soccer school.

European Club Links

With Trials & training sessions with Finnish Clubs and opportunity to test yourself against European players. This is just a small part of the 2 week trip which includes:

  • Learning a new language
  • Visiting cultural landmarks
  • Meeting locals & discovering what football means to the locals within Finland
  • Watching Finnish Premier League games and the local side FC KooTeePee is a great way to learn about the foreign culture
