3. Entry requirements The essential requirements depend upon your age, your education and qualifications, references and your background and interests. These are laid out below----Five GCSEs at grade c or above one of which must be Englishand a minimum Grade D at Maths--Excellent records of attendance, punctuality and health--Evidence of interest and participation in outdoor activities at a entry level--Basic standard of fitness and evidence of willingness to improve----You will need to show some interest or evidence to support your application----Duke of Edinburgh, Ten Tors, Youth Club, CCF, ACT, Activity Club membership or participation--Interest in developing personal skills and attributes through undertaking National Governing Body Awards--

5. Assessment method The assessment process is continual over the two years. There are no formal exams for the Extended Diploma but the course will include an ongoing assessment. It will also include writing reports, tables, charts, leaflets. You will deliver and teach basic outdoor sessions. You will also be required to assess their own skills, abilities and complete performance assessments, as well as assessed practical activities such as climbing, caving, expeditions, water activities.
