What's it all about?:
Are you patient and sympathetic to people? Are you able to work under pressure? We teach you the theory and safe practice benefits of sports massage before you put your theory to the test and practice the techniques you have learned on real clients in professional salon clinics.
Progression:
This qualification will enable massage therapists and beauty therapists to set up and practice in the field of sports and remedial treatments.
Entry Requirements:
n our experience in order to be successful on this level of course you will need one of the following:
· four to five* GCSEs at grades A*-C (including English and maths)
· an intermediate GNVQ in a related subject
· a BTEC first diploma in a related subject
· an NVQ level 2/technical certificate in a related subject
· successful completion of an apprenticeship programme
· successful completion of the Gateway/Newstart programme
· equivalent qualifications or relevant work experience.
* A level candidates will be expected to have five GCSEs
In addition you must have an Anatomy, Physiology and Massage Certificate, or be a qualified physiotherapist or beauty therapist.
Duration: One year
Business Benefits:
This qualification will allow students to specalise in the treatment sports injuries.
Course Overview
What does the course involve?:
14 weeks of professional salon clinics are included in this course. The qualification will enable massage therapists and beauty therapists to set up and practice in the field of sports and remedial treatment.
When can I study?:
Wednesdays, 5.30pm - 9.00pm
Are there any exams?:
Assessment is external and includes theory and practical tests.

Instalments are available for course fees. A deposit of £100.00 per year is payable before enrolment followed by three monthly payments of £100.00 per year
