Alongside our outstanding reputation for sport science and engineering here at Loughborough, we have also developed a synergy of disciplines required to deliver a course in Sports Technology. Delivered in our dedicated Sports Technology Institute, our Sports Technology BEng (Hons) course combines the excellence of both sports science and technology, equipping students with the expertise required to enter this exciting industry.
Major themes covered in our Sports Technology degree focus on sports equipment and facilities, the design of sports equipment, the use of materials in equipment design, methods of manufacture, the role of computer aided design, ergonomic aspects in sports equipment design, biomechanics, sports physiology, evaluation and testing of sports equipment and business studies for the sports industry.
