Our accredited Sports Therapy degree gives you the skills, knowledge and experience needed to treat and rehabilitate professional and amateur athletes.
Are you interested in helping athletes recover from injury? Or maybe you want to work designing injury prevention programmes for sports teams. Whether you have ambitions of working within the professional sports environment or running your own clinic, this course prepares you for a successful career in sports therapy
With sports therapy backgrounds in private practice, professional and semi-professional sport, your tutors bring practical experience to their academic knowledge. With their support you’ll build skills in injury assessment, exercise rehabilitation, and soft techniques include massage and joint mobilisation skills as well as developing a scientific understanding of the physiological response to exercise.
You’ll learn how to provide first aid and emergency trauma management in a high-pressure sports setting and further to your external placement, our own SUST clinic will give you experience of a professional working practice and learn how to work with real people to overcome their injuries.
In short, we’ll train you into professional sports therapists ready to work across the dynamic sports industry.
