Overview
This 2 day workshop Course is designed to give the application programmer hands-on experience of using SQL. Practical sessions include writing COBOL/SQL application programs. This course is designed as a follow-on to the SQL Workshop Course.
Course objectives
The objective of this course is to provide the delegate with a practical knowledge of using SQL in a programming environment, and the ability to run DB2 utilities such as the LOAD utility to load data into the DB2 tables.
By the end of this course you will have learned
How to embed SQL statements in a COBOL program; how to use cursors; package and plan binding; how to run the LOAD utility.
