In their statues of heroes and goddesses, the ancient Greeks created standards of beauty. The naked model has formed a part of art education for centuries; been subjected to censorship; and enabled the artist to explore ideas and emotions. Through the works of a variety of artsts, we will explore the idea of beauty and the nude in Art History.
