The state lawyer is the professional who deals with interpreting legal rules in order to provide advice and assistance to his clients (citizens, businesses, entities and organizations). His activity can be judicial (defense and legal aid before a judge or an arbitrator) and extrajudicial (assistance, consultancy, drafting of opinions, drafting of contracts, etc.). activities on behalf of public bodies and administrations (such as for example the LAWYER of the State). The State Advocacy is a body provided for by the Italian legal system, delegated to the protection and representation of the Italian State and public administrations in legal disputes against counterparties. Defends state administrations and entities in court, but only if this possibility is extended to them. We find a similar situation for the Regions. When a judicial action is proposed against a State Administration, represented by the State Advocacy, the person who proposes it must do so before the competent court. In this case, in fact, based on the provisions of art. 25 of the code of civil procedure, "the judge of the place where the office of the State Attorney is located, in the district of which find the judge who would be competent according to the ordinary rules ".
