This course is for 16-19 year olds at  Foundation Level who are undecided about their future and want to explore their options before moving on to Vocational training or applying for work. This programme is aimed at preparing young people for adult life, employment or further education and training.

Course programme

After initial assessment you will be guided through the process of building portfolios in a range of subjects that are relevant to your future needs, ranging from Workskills and Managing Money, to Creative Media, PSD, Art and Design and Life Skills, where independent learning and creativity are encouraged. The course is offers a selection of three one-year programmes, each with a different focus. Students would not be expected to complete more than two of these programmes before moving on. The programmes are: Progression in college This programme is at entry level 2 and 3, with a focus on general work readiness and study skills and a strong grounding in Functional Skills. Vocational preparation This programme is at entry level 2 and 3, with a focus of vocational work skills and personal development. Pre Level one This programme is at entry level 3 and Level 1, with a focus on preparing to study at college on a level 1 course, and work readiness.
