About this course
Through the master's programme in Stochastic modelling, statistics and risk analysis, you will gain in-depth knowledge of a wide range of methods and techniques for analysis and problem solving in insurance, finance, risk analysis or statistics. You will develop good theoretical insight and the ability to apply the theory to develop methods and techniques to solve problems.
You have specialized and updated knowledge within one of the main areas of the programme in insurance, finance, risk analysis and statistics.
You have deep insight, understanding and intuition within a special field that varies depending on choice of programme option and master's project.
You have solid knowledge of a wide range of methods and techniques based on mathematics, probability, statistics and computer science and can use them for analysis and problem solving.
A broad background is required to choose appropriate methods for the work on the master's project and for the problems the candidates will encounter in their professional life. How broad background a candidate will have, varies somewhat depending on choice of courses and topic for the master's thesis.
