About this course

This programme has a strong emphasis on real-life case studies in order to give you a true understanding of strategic marketing practice, preparing students for a marketing career in a range of established businesses or entrepreneurial ventures. The course will be taught primarily by academics from the Business School, together with guest speakers from industry and the wider Imperial community, experts in their field. Technology is an integral part of the MSc Strategic Marketing programme. It will include a range of teaching innovations that will enhance your learning and bring digital media, and in particular social media, into the classroom. Student assignments will be submitted as wikis when appropriate and all material will be provided digitally rather than on paper. Websites will be used in a learning context, but students will also be required to develop a website as part of their business plan.

During the programme you will study twelve core modules. The Marketing Core consists of six modules that provide a broad business understanding for students as a foundation for the focused study of marketing.

The Marketing Platform consists of six modules that deepen your understanding of marketing. You will also undertake a number of practical exercises such as the Marketing Consulting Project and the Marketing Plan Competition.
