This course combines the latest expertise and research with valuable industry connections. You’ll be exposed to forward-thinking ideas in strategic human resources management, strategic tourism management and smart tourism design. You’ll also be able to learn from our exciting optional modules, such as digital marketing and social media campaigns, strategic tourism consultancy and event portfolio and destination development.

Bringing the world into sharp focus, we’ll give you insight into how management and marketing techniques can be used to solve the challenges faced by the tourism industry today. At the same time, we’ll grow your understanding of the impact tourism has on the world economy and what the future holds for the global travel market in years to come.

If you’re an existing tourism graduate or have experience in the sector and want to take your skills to the next level, this is the course for you. There may be opportunities to acquire valuable European experience by working or conducting research abroad during your degree or shortly afterwards. It is possible to do this in the summer period with an Erasmus+ grant working on your dissertation or as a recent graduate. In order to qualify your Erasmus+ traineeship must be a minimum of two months.

A minimum of a 2:2 UK honours degree in tourism management, or a recognised equivalent international qualification. We'll also consider you if you have a business or management degree and at least one year relevant experience in the tourism industry.
