This course is a basic introduction to the equipment and techniques of studio photography, including portraiture and still life work.The college can provide some equipment, however we encourage you to bring your own DSLR camera. Students may be required to buy some course materials costing approx £10. For digital photography classes it is recommended you bring a USB stick, or a storage device.

- Set up and operate studio lighting to photograph portraits and still life arrangements.
- Develop the skills and confidence to work in a professional studio environment.
You don’t need any formal qualifications for this course, but you should have a good working knowledge of Digital SLR cameras. If you don’t have this knowledge, you should study the Photography: Camera Techniques course first.
