Stuntman course

A stuntman (in Italian stuntman) is an acrobat particularly skilled in pretending falls, dives, jumps and dangerous scenes in general (in English stunts). In films, especially action films, the stunt performers act as a stunt double for the leading actors in the most dangerous scenes. The category is divided into various sectors, including acrobatic pilots (precision drivers), weapons experts, simulated combat (weapons master), pyrotechnic effects (fire-stunt) and general impacts (falls and dives). Among the various categories we can find acrobatic driving and freestyle that can be performed both with a car and with a quad. The profession of stunt performer offers the opportunity to work in the world of cinema, shows, amusement parks and exhibition events. The stunt profession is very demanding, since his job is to replace the actor in the dangerous scenes of a film or in fiction. In particular, the stuntman performs dangerous actions according to what is foreseen by the script, such as jumping from tall buildings, falling from a horse or a motorcycle, jumping from helicopters while they are in motion, throwing themselves into fire or colliding with cars or high speed motorcycle. To become a stuntman (a profession that can be undertaken by both men and women), perfect physical shape is required. Those who start this profession must always be agile, have a sense of balance, remain calm, but above all have a great concentration. Without a trained body and without a mental predisposition to do this type of work, the chances of getting hurt increase dramatically.
