Course programme

One of the most advantageous features of Sujok is its simplicity. Unlike other acupressure or acupuncture therapies; in Sujok all the corresponding points are located in the hands and feet and thus entire treatment can be done by locating points in hands and feet.

To know the basic of how Sujok works; we must know that the human body is classified in to the trunk as its center and five appendages to it. The palm is considered to be the front body or the trunk, index and little fingers being the two hands, middle and ring fingers the two feet, back of the hand is considered as the back body.
Below we have mentioned in a more precise way about the corresponding points in Sujok.

  • Just like the arms comprises of wrist, elbow, and shoulder; the legs comprise of ankle, knee and the hip; similarly our fingers, which are the corresponding point is Sujok, have three joints. So, when we are looking at the points in Sujok, till the writs is the tip of the outer finger, from the wrist to elbow is the middle of the finger and the shoulder is the last part of the finger or that attaches the finger to the palm.
  • Just like that, the two sections of the neck and head can be easily associated with the two joints of the thumb. The top part of the thumb, or the part near to the nail is the head, till the first joint of the thumb, corresponding to the face and the second joint corresponding to the throat. It is to be noted that the corresponding Sujok points for the back of the head and the neck are back of the thumb and the second joint respectively.

We must inform that there are also other body correspondence systems in Sujok such as the Insect Correspondence, Mini Correspondence, Bowling Pin Correspondence, United Closed Correspondence, Open United Correspondence and many other; the Basic correspondence system is the simplest one and anyone can perform it on his or her own fingers to give the pressure.

As we have mentioned earlier that the remarkable feature of Sujok is its simplicity. The only thing is that the corresponding nerve points as per sujok and the actual affected portion should match on each and every occasion. We would mention that after practicing a little, your fingers would move automatically to the corresponding point and you can start applying the pressure.
