Entry Requirements
You will need 4 GCSEs at grade C or above which should include maths, English and science. Exceptional entry will be considered, dependent upon your existing skills and qualifications. Please note: If you already completed the Level 2 Diploma in Construction, you can progress onto this qualification.
Course Duration
One year, full time.
Skills and Benefits
The course is a general introduction to the construction industry. If you are interested in becoming a building surveyor, quantity surveyor, structural, mechanical or electrical engineer, construction planner or construction manager, this course offers you and opportunity to broaden your understanding of the construction industry. You will study a series of units, which are carefully designed to cover all industry requirements within this field.

There are no optional units on this qualification.
Course Assessment
You will be continuously graded throughout the course. The Subsidiary Diploma can be obtained by completing the 6 mandatory units. However, progression to Extended Diploma will require completion of all 9 units.
Progression
Those gaining the Subsidiary Diploma in Construction can go on to join the Extended Diploma in Construction or be eligible to progress onto a number of Higher Education courses depending upon the grades that you receive at the end of the Diploma course.
