The alternate is the person who temporarily exercises the office in an absent person: the alternate doctor. In particular, in the state school system, the non-permanent staff called by a deed of appointment of the supervisors of the Studies, of the principals, of the didactic directors, to fill vacant or otherwise available positions. The regulations governing the establishment of rankings, the procedures for assigning substitutes and the timing, are regulated annually by specific ministerial decrees (regional or municipal). At the national level, a regulation was issued with Ministerial Decree no. 131 of 13 June 2007. For state schools there are different types of rankings, through which substitutes are accessed (for example, short or annual). The teachers, who may be appointed by the competent authority, they are divided by school order (kindergarten, primary, middle, high school) and subject (for example mathematics, geography, history). [3] He is appointed by the USR (formerly known as the "territorial area", "Provincial school office", "Administrative services center" and school supervisor) or by the school manager; in the private school, the methods of recruitment are instead managed by the management of the same.
