Combining the expertise and knowledge of our School of Entrepreneurship with the visionary and pioneering Eden Project, this course offers a unique approach, with sustainability at its core.

You’ll be at the heart of the action from day one; taking part in regular live team projects, destination visits and multiple micro- placements with local and global partners across a wide range of tourism sectors including coastal, eco, adventure, garden and cultural tourism.
Spend your second year studying at the Eden Project, a globally-recognised leader in sustainability.
Get the chance to work on a live project in an international tourism destination, with your travel and accommodation expenses funded as part of the course.
Undertake a minimum of six micro-placements at the Eden Project and various other locations.
Develop a sustainable approach to management in the globally expanding tourism industry.
Explore the moral and political pressures of tourism and how to manage them sustainably.
Be industry-ready with a full degree in just two years.

About this course

Together we’ll explore the impact of tourism on the environment, society and the commercial landscape. And by working on live collaborative projects on and off campus, you’ll learn to become a professional tourism manager with a proactive approach to sustainability and ethical leadership.

You’ll grow your professional network and learn to tackle the social, environmental and market challenges of travel and tourism, at home and internationally, whilst studying in Cornwall - a major tourist destination.

104 - 120 UCAS points, primarily from Level 3 qualifications like A-Levels, a BTEC Extended Diploma, or a Foundation Diploma.

1st Year

You’ll gain a firm grounding in the processes of tourism planning as you develop an understanding of creative and innovative approaches. Exploring everything from marketing to managing resources and engaging with clients, you’ll consider wellbeing in the industry, develop team working and presentational skills, hear from industry speakers, attend field trips and deliver three assessed team projects.
