The tailor is a specialist who takes care of sewing and arranging a tear so as to make it invisible on any type of garment such as jacket, trousers, shirt etc. This art can help to better repair a worn and torn fabric by re-tying the threads or rebuilding them with thread identical to the original one. The ancient meaning of patchworker then lost it over time, but now it is used to indicate the person who cuts and sews clothes often endowed with great sensitivity and taste. The tailor is therefore the craftsman who makes clothes (male and female), and today he is a specialized craftsman and as such has always been considered, in Italy it has been a profession that has marked the history of costume and fashion also for the particular ways in which it developed. The development of this profession in Italy culminated in the immediate post-war period with the phenomenon of "tailors" and as such it developed.
