The Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) Certificate will provide you with a sound theoretical foundation combined with the practical classroom experience and skills necessary to pursue teaching opportunities in the United States or abroad. In the TESOL Certificate program, you will lead workshops for Suffolk’s international students and contribute to Boston’s diverse population through service in one of Boston’s many ethnic community organizations.

Through education courses, classroom shadowing, and a student teaching experience, you will be prepared to teach English to speakers of other languages. The TESOL Certificate is open to all students and requires completion of 12 credits of coursework.
