The programme is open to people with little or no experience in teaching adults, but also works well for those with more knowledge of the field. The programme combines a good background in the theories and history of teaching adults with a substantial placement component. The placement allows you to work with an adult education agency for 100 hours, and counts as two courses in the programme. You can choose your own type of organisation for your placement, and we will help to set it up. Students tell us that they come out of the programme with much stronger knowledge of teaching adults as well as a better understanding of what that means to their teaching practice.
