Teaching Assistant – Qualification endorsed by Focus Awards at Level 3

COURSE MATERIALS

• Preparing the classroom for lessons
• Listening to the children read, reading to them or telling them stories
• Assisting children who need extra support to complete tasks
• Helping the teacher to plan learning activities and complete records
• Supervising group activities and displaying work
• Looking after children who are upset after an accident
• Playing educational games with the children
• Encouraging younger children to learn through play
• Helping with outings and sporting events
• Carrying out routine administrative tasks

FOCUS AWARDS ENDORSED AT LEVEL 3
This course has been endorsed by Focus Awards through their Focus on Quality Provision (FQP) Scheme. The content and depth of study required have been benchmarked at Level 3.Focus Awards is a member of the Federation of Awarding Bodies (FAB) and is regulated by Ofqual. Established 2011, Focus Awards is founded on three core values – Honesty, Integrity and Fairness – that underpin everything they do.
The FQP scheme is designed to give endorsement to non-regulated qualifications in a wide range of subjects. On successful graduation you will receive a Focus Awards Certificate of Achievement and a Diploma from Great Achievers.
Although the course is comprehensive and informative, we do expect you to carry out your own research to develop your knowledge further. After all, if you are not prepared to do your own research, you should be asking yourself if this is the right course for you!
