Content * Health, safety and hygiene * Related legislation * Anatomy and physiology * Contra-indications and contra-actions * Preparation techniques * Massage techniques and frequency * Working with ante and post natal parents * Case study requirement You will learn through a combination of interactive classroom teaching, practical work and case studies. Assessment Assessment is ongoing and based mainly on your portfolio of evidence, practical observation, assignments, oral questions and case studies. You must carry out: 3 case studies on 3 different babies = 9 treatments - outside of college 1 group demonstration - outside of college Witness testimony and photographic evidence is needed for these treatments Plus 1 group demonstration (role play) within college.

This teaching certificate will provide midwives and health practitioners with an opportunity to provide and demonstrate baby massage to anyone responsible for babies. You will be able to conduct classes showing massage techniques which reinforce bonding, improve joint movement and soothe fractious babies. * VR02/VR74 Health and safety certificate or equivalent. * Level 3 Massage or Anatomy and Physiology qualification
