Course programme

What is a UK-TEFL training course?

The UK-TEFL training course is designed for those with little or no English teaching experience to become qualified English teachers in a very short period of time.

If you want to start a career in teaching English.

A UK-TEFL course will be a good entry into a good teaching position, either in the UK or abroad. You may be a graduate wanting a qualification which provides a sound basis in the fundamentals of language teaching practice and gives you the confidence to take control in the classroom.

If you're looking for a career change or career break.

We have an increasing number of professionals applying for a UK-TEFL course, either looking for a new career opportunity or wanting a short career break.

If you're looking for part time work

Teaching English is a good option if you are looking to move to a new country and don't want to work full time. There are an increasing number of employment opportunities in the Mediterranean and Asian countries, such as Thailand, for those who wish to teach English part-time and accept lower salaries.

What does the TEFL course cover?

During the course you will be taken through all aspects of becoming an English teacher. This includes planning a lesson, classroom management, hands-on teaching practice, how to teach grammar and what games to use to keep your students interested.

This is all taught in an interactive and lively environment by one of our UK-TEFL approved trainers.

Teaching practice

You will have a go at teaching, with your fellow students playing the role of EFL students and you will observe other students teaching for a total of six hours.

All courses include:

  • Full TEFL Training with an experienced, UK-TEFL approved Trainer
  • Certificate in TEFL on completion (Sent by post within 10 days of the course)
  • Advice on how and where to find EFL employment
  • Complimentary tea and biscuits throughout the day
