Course Summary

This short, highly intensive methodology and language improvement course is for teachers who wish to learn a wide variety of creative and motivating ways to teach pronunciation. You will also work on and improve your own pronunciation.

Programme of the training activities

• Teaching and learning the sounds of English (phonemes) in an interesting, learner centered manner.
• Creative techniques and approaches for teaching and learning stress, rhythm and intonation.
• How to use simple drama techniques to make teaching and learning pronunciation more enjoyable and memorable.
• How to incorporate pronunciation work into grammar and vocabulary lessons.
• Examining and adapting pronunciation materials.
• Intelligibility or "native speaker perfection?" Models and objectives in pronunciation teaching.
