Teaching Science Pathway - Access to Higher Education Diploma (Education)
If you think you have the drive and passion to teach science to young people, but you don’t have the formal qualifications, the Access to Higher Education Diploma (Education) – Teaching Science Pathway could be perfect for you.
The units offered on this course have been specifically tailored towards budding science teachers; covering everything from child development to cell biology. What’s more is that this is a distance learning course, meaning that you can base your studies around your own schedule. This flexibility means that the course is ideal for learners who have spent significant time away from education and have other commitments to consider.
With our diplomas, you don’t have to wait until September to enrol. You can start studying towards an Access to HE Diploma at any time of the year. Students with work commitments or families to look after needn’t worry about attending classes. Students can study when and where they choose.
How long it takes you to complete your Access course really depends upon how much time you are able to dedicate to your studies. The programmes are designed to give you the flexibility to study at times that are suitable for you, and to fit your studies around your other commitments. The maximum time you have to complete your Diploma is outlined in your Individual Learning Plan (ILP). The minimum time you can complete your Access course is six months.
How does my Access to HE Diploma work?.
Once you have enrolled on your course, you will be given access to our online course materials. The learning resources are educational, interactive and easy to understand. Everything you need to complete the course will be included in the materials. You will also have access to our tutors, with whom you can communicate via phone, email or through our online platform, PEARL mic subject content.
