Description

Bill Troke-Thomas is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) as a health & safety trainer, to deliver a range of their nationally-recognised health & safety qualifications. He holds the National General Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health, with Distinction. He acquired extensive practical experience of health & safety before qualifying to teach others. He worked in three industries with particular safety problems; Construction, Forestry, and Chemical Manufacture, before a long career in the police service.

History

In latter years, this involved management responsibility for the safety and welfare of several hundred personnel, from front-line staff facing the risk of violence to office-based staff surrounded by more traditional but no less serious hazards to their well-being.
