Course programme

You will have acquired a wealth of technical knowledge and skills when you studied for your diploma in Stage and Event Engineering (PET). This two-year associate degree programme builds on what you learned to train you to manage other technicians. As the head of creative engineering, you will be a key member of the creative team, often developing concepts with the other team members from scratch. On completing this programme you’ll be well-equipped to use your imagination more broadly and creatively when answering questions such as: How do you implement a creative concept in technical form? Which new digital techniques would be relevant for the job at hand? What technical solutions would do justice to the director or artist’s artistic ambitions? We’ll challenge you to deepen your theoretical, creative and artistic knowledge, and intensify your curiosity and imagination. You will also learn how to manage a team of technicians. How do you guide the members of your team through a creative concept? How do you communicate what you want – clearly and concisely? How do you motivate people and get them to work as a single-minded team?

This associate degree allows you to fast-track to the third year of our four-year bachelor's degree programme, specialising as a technical producer.

Attention!
The language of the Theatre Department is Dutch. In order to function up to the mark in the lessons, foreign students are required to speak, write and read Dutch. For more information about application we refer to the Dutch website.
