This course is the final year BSc Honours component that leads on from a two-year Foundation degree in Modern Telecommunications. It can lead to exemption from British Computer Society professional examinations.
The programme has a modern and up-to-date curriculum that covers the latest in technology including IP-based telephony. Teaching is underpinned by an active research group within the department.
The course design recognises the rapidly changing nature of communication systems and includes aspects of wireless technologies.
The programme covers the areas of network management, server configuration and administration, telecommunications including wireless networking and mobile networks.
The course includes a component of independent, but guided, study.
