Course review:
An interesting five week intensive course that immediately submerges you into the world of the ancient Egyptians. It relies on you having some knoweledge of ancient Egypt, but not a high level. The course travels through ancient Egypt, and looks at the Temples and Tombs that have been left behind. This course looks at art, architecture and is a very visual course, most assignments will be picture based. There will be an essay based exam in week five, you will have a day to complete.
There are only twenty places available per five week course, book now to avoid disappointment.
Course content:
Week One- Thebes- city of the living; Karnak and Luxor Temples
Week Two- Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens and the Theban Tombs of the Nobles
Week Three- The Temple of Philae and the Temple of Dendera
Week Four- Pyramids and Mastabas
Week Five- Amarna, a living temple and a religious revolution
This is a good course to take alongside, after, or before Gods, goddesses and myths.
