Term Time (Children's) - Fashion Design, Clothes & Accessory Making

We run after-school and Saturday clubs for children from 8-18 years. We experiment with the latest seasonal trends simplifying cuts for truly individual one-offs. Your child has opted for a GCSE in Textiles, wants to go to Fashion College or is just looking for the perfect wind-down after school? Our projects cover handbag and belt making, textiles design, pattern making (from 2D to 3D), fashion history and more. Each course includes an excursion to a museum, gallery or exhibition.

Our children's courses are designed to cater for all ability levels, from absolute beginners to the very advanced. The skills that are taught include sewing by hand, using a sewing machine, draping and measuring, use of ready-made sewing patterns as well as pattern making and free design. Children will learn to develop their own design ideas and style by choosing their favourites from our own designs to get started. Tools and fabrics are supplied, but we encourage all children to develop expertise and experience in selecting their own materials.

• Tue/Wed/Thu 4-5:30 or 5:30-7pm
• Saturdays 10-12 or 12-2 or 2-4pm
