The coursework is completed via a portfolio approach which provides a fantastic opportunity to showcase your skills. Many of our students use their knowledge and skills to further a career in Textiles - our students have gained places on prestigious courses at Central St Martins and The London School of Fashion. Alumni of Textiles A level at Corfe Hills are working as Fashion Editor of “More” magazine and Head of Women’s wear at “Animal”. A recent leaver has made the London 2012 mascots for the Olympics, “Wenlock” and “Mandeville”. Another has worked on wigs and costumes for the “Harry Potter” films. Two others who have been in touch are running their own businesses – one using organically produced fabrics for fashion design in New Zealand and one designing and selling children’s wear to major London stores. Recent news was of an ex-student who has gained a place working in the design studios of “Billabong” in California, another who is designing for Tesco’s “Florence and Fred” brand.
