Course programme

PRESENTATION

It includes the study of:

-Theatrical Lighting Equipment
-Technical aspects of Stage Lighting
-Introduction to the Principles of Lighting Design

A variety of styles and methods of presentation will be covered including unit set, multi-set, musicals and opera.

Students will learn how to implement a plot for selected aspects of lighting (cyclorama lighting effects, tonal lighting, moving lights, etc).

The course will culminate in a performance piece in which all students will undertake the roles of the lighting department.

The course includes a backstage visit to a West End theatre.

Housing is available for all London workshops.
