2. Course description This course is designed for counselling practitioners who wish to expand their existing practice into the area of counselling supervision or to develop their existing supervision practice. It will equip you with the knowledge and skills to offer ethically sound supervision to other counsellors across a broad theoretical range. The course will also support those who are considering supervisor accreditation with BACP covering much of the criteria required for success in the process.

3. Entry requirements Entry to the programme is open to Counselling Practitioners who have:----A professional Diploma at level 5, a Foundation Degree or equivalent--300 to 450 hours of client hours as a counsellor--To be currently practising as a counsellor--You will be required to undertake live supervision during the course--You will also need to be in receipt of at least the BACP minimum of supervision----In addition to the essential requirements it is desirable but not essential to have:----Sufficient hours to achieve personal accreditation as a counsellor with BACP--Be working toward BACP personal accreditation-- 4. Equipment required No equipment required 5. Assessment method You will be assessed through a number of different media including presentations to the learner group; written assignment; a case review; audio recording of a live supervision session; peer reviews within the learner group and you will also be required to maintain a learning journal but this will not be assessed.
