You will learn how to ensure your posture is correct for typing, health and safety and touch typing to the bronze silver or gold standard. You will concentrate on improving your accuracy and speed.

About this course

You will need to have a basic understanding of ICT or have completed the Computing for the Terrified Course to attend this course. You will need access to a computer to practice the skills of the course.

Touch Typing

Course Information

This is an ideal follow-on course from Computing for the Terrified. You will be introduced to touch-typing techniques to improve your speed and accuracy. This is a 5 week taught course with an exam to be mutually arranged within the next 5 weeks.

You will be given your own software on a USB memory stick to practice your skills at home.

Assessment and Accreditation

There is a short typing exam to test your speed and accuracy and you will be awarded a bronze, silver or gold certificate depending upon the outcome of the exam.
