Course Summary

Learn how to safely and efficiently operate a tow tractor/trailer.

On completion of the course you will understand the statutory requirements and the need for safety training. The course covers machine and control familiarisation, daily checks and fault reporting, battery charging and refueling, procedures for manoeuvring, coupling, reversing, the use of attachments and much more.

As a record of your achievement, a TAL certificate of training is provided.

Course Duration

2 or 1 day depending on delegates’ experience and specific applications of the machine - maximum 3 delegates per course.

Please note that where only personnel carriers are involved then the training would be of 1 x day duration

Train-a-Lift Ltd Staff Instructors involved in presenting this course are qualified and experienced Instructors, and are also trained, tested and certificated tow tractor operators.

Payment options: Within 20 mile radius from our Training Centre in Coventry Daily Instructor Rate - Weekdays £290.00 Daily Instructor Rate - Weekends £325.00 £15 daily fuel charge £5 administration fee per certificate Over 20 mile radius from our Training Centre in Coventry (UK mainland) Daily Instructor Rate - Weekdays £290.00 Daily Instructor Rate - Weekends £325.00 Round trip mileage charge of 40p per mile. £5 administration fee per certificate An overnight subsistence charge is made to cover our Instructor's accommodation for all courses over 80 miles from our offices in Coventry. Instructor Overnight Accommodation (per night). £85.00 Overnight Accommodation London and South East Area (per night) £125.00 PLEASE NOTE: Where applicable all courses will be strictly subject to the statutory instructor to trainee ratios.
