The first thing to understand if you want to know how to become a trade unionist concerns precisely the boundaries of this figure: what are the duties of the trade unionist and what does he actually do? The main activity of the trade unionist is proselytism, that is, to find new members. The union serves to protect one's rights, manage disputes with the employer and have more bargaining power, both in defending the rights achieved and in acquiring new ones. In addition to this, the union also deals with practical aspects such as the calculation of wages, pensions, contributions. If you wish to enter this world and become a trade unionist, you will first have to join a trade union.
