Traffic policeman course

The traffic warden is an agent of the municipal police. He ensures compliance with the rules in the territory of the Municipality where he is hired. He patrols the streets, directs traffic and fines offenders. He intervenes in the event of road accidents involving motorists, motorcyclists or pedestrians. It provides information on traffic and regulates the circulation and passage of cars and people, especially in the most crowded places in the city or on the occasion of special events and events. He mainly works on the street or carries out administrative activities in the office (eg the records of the infringements of the Highway Code). Always on the road, can visit and patrol shops or premises open to the public to check the regular possession of the sales license and to verify the origin of the goods and compliance with the hygiene and health regulations. It also intervenes in the event of thefts or robberies, in collaboration with the other law enforcement agencies. To become a traffic policeman, you must pass a public competition, announced by one of the Italian municipalities (main admission requirements: High School Diploma, Driving license B). Once the public access competition has been passed, it is possible to reach the other career levels (Commander, Officer ..) by participating and passing the internal competitions. To be eligible, a traffic policeman must be in good health - physical and mental - and not have difficulty staying hours in city traffic.
