About this course
Standard entry to this course requires one reference. It is desirable that you can demonstrate 90% attendance at your last place of study or work. Three GCSEs in English, maths and science at grade 1/2 (E/F/G) or above is required. A suitable level E3 qualification or motor vehicle maintenance experience is desirable but not essential.
Consideration will be given to all applicants over the age of 19, who do not hold formal English and maths qualifications.

Leicester College has a very well equipped modern vehicle body repair workshop, it offers advanced tools, equipment and repair techniques that enable you to gain a wide range of skills essential for the workplace. The learning programme involves you studying both the theory and practical aspects of accident repair. This qualification consists of a combination of units from:
Health and Safety practices, Foundation Skills, Personal Social Development (PSD), mechanical, electrical and valeting. The course is based on all areas of the motor vehicle and includes the core systems, braking, suspension, engine, steering, electrical, wheel and tyres. Students also complete Health and Safety, PPD and Functional Skills or GCSE in maths and English elements as part of your studies.
